A 4 mile long hill climb individual time trial with 800ft of climbing took place on Thu 5th April. Starting in Newcastleton village, with a tough sprint up the road through barren Scottish moorland towards Langholm. Fortunately the weather held off, although it was windy on the open moor with all riders finding it a tough challenge. First to ring the historic Baghdad Bell to stop the clock and claim victory as the King of the Mountain was Neil Robertson from Newcastleton in the under 16 category with a stunning time of 33 mins and 21 secs.
